Lucy has extensive experience representing clients in both federal and state court who have suffered injuries because of the wrongful conduct of others. Her practice focuses on complex cases involving catastrophic personal injury, including those caused by medical malpractice, the overservice of alcohol, and other negligence. Lucy also has experience litigating class actions, representing relators in qui tam cases brought under the False Claims Act, and representing individuals and businesses in cases involving copyright infringement, shareholder disputes, and other sophisticated commercial matters with economic injuries. Lucy enjoys getting to know her clients in order to understand their goals and help them achieve successful outcomes.
Prior to joining Wyche, Lucy served as a law clerk to the Honorable Mary Geiger Lewis, United States District Judge for the District of South Carolina. Lucy’s experience as a judicial law clerk, along with the breadth of her practice, gives her a unique perspective and ability to represent her clients effectively and efficiently in South Carolina and beyond.
A native of South Carolina, Lucy attended the University of South Carolina Honors College and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Virginia School of Law. Lucy is based in Wyche’s Columbia, SC office.
